Lady Liberty Kissing Lady Justice
A friend forwarded this image to me this morning and I couldn't resist posting it. I don't know who the graphic artist is, but this is one hot picture!
The illustrator of this powerful image is Mirko Ilic. It was published in the Village Voice at http://www.villagevoice.com/2004-02-24/news/i-d-leave-the-country-but-my-wife-won-t-let-me/
I think Justice's blindfold makes it special. Justice has to guess the kisser or perform a forfeit. "I just know that was Libby. I'd recognise that apple-pie flavored lipstick anywhere!"
Lucky it wasn't Lincoln. Those Mount Rushmore boys are cute enough, but their facial hair does tickle so!
The theme of costumed women recalls the scene in the opening montage of Watchmen when, instead of a male sailor, it's Silhouette who exuberantly kisses a nurse during the victory celebrations in Times Square.
Heather Cassell is founder and president of Whimsy Media, LLC, a professional writing, publishing and book marketing coaching and consulting firm for progressive independent small presses, individual self-publishers, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies.

Kinky, you realise Justice is Liberty's daughter, right?
We are ready for the pins, t-shirts, etc! Fabulous image. Thanks!
Michael Price, can you explain to me how Justice is Liberty's daughter?
